Also, unlike steel, aluminum has no endurance limit, meaning it will keep becoming weaker and weaker with movement and vibrations until it eventually shears. By the geometry, it seems like most of the forces would be transmitted into the bolts, but did you perform any sort of dynamic simulation on this part?
